The DREAM dream

Hey you! You're here again, thank you so much for the support! I love you πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’. I've had really hectic and busy days these past weeks. It feels so good to be back here. It feels even better that you're here to read this. You're gonna love it!

                                 THE DREAM DREAM

No, its not a tautaulogy (-> needless repetition of an idea, statement, or word).  I actually mean the dream dream!

The first dream is talking about 'Dreams' - aspirations, desires, goals etc.
One man who loved this word-> Martin Luther King junior: a man who was known for his popular speech 'I HAVE DREAM" (I Have a Dream" is a public speech delivered by American civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr. during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom on August 28, 1963, in which he calls for an end to racism in the United Statesand called for civil and economic rights.which also brought about the popular phrase 'I HAVE A DREAM'.

Anyways, we're not here to talk too much about him... we're here to talk about dreams.

The second dream is talking about the one we all know so well. Dream of sleep! The appearance that comes to you while you're asleep. That 'video' that plays in your mind when you sleep lol.

Being a dreamer (big thinker!)

It is very beautiful to have dreams, aspirations and desires, but what makes it different is what you do with those dreams.
These dreams can come at any time : at school, in class, in the cafeteria, in church, or even in your sleep! You can legit have a dream about your dream.

So I was listening to the radio once, (I love the radio) and i heard this song and some lyrics caught me. The singer goes:
I slept in yesterday's clothes
and in Tomorrow's dreams
Wow! It stuck immediately!  The lyrics were so relatable

Then I thought to myself : this is the  difference between successful people and others.
Successful people--> when they have a dream they wake up with the dream and move with the dream.
Others--> will have a dream, wake up and leave the dream on the pillow!   (figuratively speaking)

For who though?
It is important to realise that any dream (desire or aspiration) that is not worked on, just left alone, will infact become an actual dream- illusions in your sleep!

They said follow your dreams, well it's about time you started leading them!

How can you do that?  Have a look at this poem and see

From the poem below you will see that you are the force to break that dream free! You are the boost it needs!

Enjoy ....my way with words

I was so excited when I got the inspiration to write this post. These words stuck with me:
YOU HAD A DREAM
THE DREAM HAD YOU
Oh what depth!!!

Your dream is your responsibility! Not anyone's.
Prune it like a flower till it starts to bloom, admire it, but not for too long. Go back to work on it again,  so it would not wither away.
Groom your dream like a flower, and watch it bloom! 🌺🌹

Don't sit and wait for the realization of your dream, you are the reality of your dream!

There is no  magical moment, where a huge sign will form in the skies and say 'Dearly beloved! It is I your creator! Now is the time, arise and follow your dream!!

Lol that sure won't happen.
Personally, I used to feel that way before. I had desires and a whole lot of stuff I believe in and wanted to do, but I never had a clear mind on when to actually achieve them.
I just felt 'the time will come' . But it never came, truth is I wasn't ready myself.
It was then I realised that though we all need opportunity;  we can't sit in the comfort of our beds and still get it.
We have to get up, suit up and find that opportunity. Step out of your comfort zone!
(This was taken in public. I was so shy, but I tried my best to hide it. Taking bold steps is a current goal of mine)

Suit up? Yes! A quote I really love is one by Abraham Lincoln: "I will prepare myself and someday my chance will come" That is suiting up, Getting ready for the opportunity . Not waiting for the opportunity to get ready. No No No!

One of the many dreams I had was to be a writer, reporter, on air personality, anything that had media on it basically. Still wondering how I found myself as a Science student. (A post coming on my personal life soon- going into details πŸ˜‰).

Anyways, I tried my best to keep the dreams alive but they slipped out one after the other, because I didn't do anything with them. When you don't do anything about those dreams they start to fade away together with the passion to follow them.

The first major step to achieving that dream of mine was finally starting my blog- AurabyDOra . This was after so many years of dreaming and 'waiting' for the dream to just manifest! It's funny thinking about it now. I guess I didn't realise how time was quickly passing, and how it would be wonderful to achieve all I've dreamt of  while still young.

Trust  me the moment it dawned on me - It's up to me! Bam what's the next step? I didn't need heavenly choirs to sing a 'It is time' rendition. I took the step.

I don't have regrets now, because I stayed with the dream and eventually started to follow it.  If I didn't follow my dream, maybe just maybe I would. Right now I'm trying my best to make it work out as good as I imagined it to be. I'm still at the beginning but I'm at peace knowing I got on board!

When should you follow your dream?  The moment you feel it in your heart that it is possible to, that's when!

Your dream is counting on you. Don't let it down!

Imagine your dream singing 'Don't let me down' by Thechainsmokers ft Daya to you. Would you ignore? I know I wouldn't.
Have a lovely week ahead guys ❤❤ I love you so much. Happy Easter πŸŽ‰
