EAR PLUGS AND SHOULDER SHRUGS

Hey lovelies! How are you doing? So glad you could stop by.
So my day started well, although I had to be up really early, and try my best to stay awake through the classes, it was a  calm morning. Thankfully the class ended just in time and I felt alive again lol.

Why is it like that though? Why do classes that are meant to add to you (information/knowledge) , seem to take away from you instead (suck away your strength and vibes). We might never know, I guess what matters is I survived the class without dozing off, and I was able to learn a few things.

So after the class ended (to my utmost happiness) my 'vibes' came back and I felt like taking a stroll. It was going to be along one, agreed. So I decided to stop analyzing the distance in my head "at least I have an ipod with me, shouldn't be that bad" I thought as I shrugged, clicked on shuffle, plugged in my ears and finally hit the road! Like I literally hit the road... lol ok more like a soft 'tap-tap' with my size 6 feet in my cute new grey flats (that got some compliments today). In actual fact the only thing getting hit was my head. Ok, not hit like -attack, more like 'hit' like because I was listening to 'hit' songs. Get it?
(I'm sure you actually want to hit my head for real now 😅)

So the 'hits' kept coming through and then this song played, the lyrics just caught my attention and I straightaway was inspired to write this blog post. It's in a poem form, enjoy my way with words!

Not there in the restaurant with the girls who only gossip
About friends and their boyfriends plus those who have made it
Not there in the bar with the guys who only gossip about fine babes and their 'set' friends
       I'll be here

Here with the sane ones who aren't scared to go crazy for their dreams, here
Here with the strong ones, who at the sight of opposition wont try to scale the fence
So excuse me if I'm not so impressed, with your 'settle for less' preference
But now I'm here, with the restless, those ones who only go for the best
I'm here for the champ set, the ones you can bet will pass the test

Lastly, I'm here for me to prove myself, that I'm worthy 'to be'
But dear one I'm also here for you, so you can open up and see
And take that step, shine the light, come alive, tell me G
 Are you ready? to come on here, so we can start this adventure spree
